The five Pennsylvania boroughs of the Chester Pike Corridor Improvement Partners held a preliminary meeting in May 2019, and met once a month from September 2019 through December 2019 to discuss the multi-municipality efforts to improve the Chester Pike Corridor.

Each borough signed a memorandum of understanding for the multi-municipal initiative to cooperate and coordinate with one another on projects, including economic development, quality of life, and  structural and public safety improvements along the Chester Pike Corridor, and have agreed services and  funding would be provided by the collaborative through the application of grants.

Working with the Delaware County Planning Department, the next step is a Chester Pike Corridor Master Plan to identify the vision, what the overall goal will be, what the goal is for each borough, recommendations and projects. As part of the master plan, there will be a public meeting

held at each of the 5 boroughs, plus three ‘full’ public meetings to discuss the effort, gather information

and comments, and finally share the culmination of the master plan.
