5 Boroughs - Glenolden, Norwood, Prospect Park, Ridley Park, and Sharon Hill

The Chester Pike Corridor proposed updates will take into consideration sustainable materials and energy efficient lighting.

Anticipated projects will include improving safety for pedestrians, bicyclists, children, older citizens, non-drivers and the mobility challenged, as well as those that cannot afford a car or choose to live car free; providing connections to bicycling and walking trip generators such as

employment, education, residential, recreation retail center and public facilities; promoting healthy lifestyles; creating more livable communities; and reducing traffic congestion.

Delaware County Planning Department

5 Boroughs - Glenolden, Norwood, Prospect Park, Ridley Park, and Sharon Hill

The Delaware County Planning Department is spearheading the planning efforts. They are collecting data from all the boroughs and developing a Corridor Master Plan. They will be conducting public meetings for all stakeholders to have a voice in the process and priorities.

We will be posting the dates, time and locations of the public meetings once they have been scheduled.

Our community is full of people who want to help. We will be providing everyone with an opportunity to have their voices and ideas heard.

A process of the Corridor Master Plan will be to conduct public meetings. Stakeholders and residents will be able to view proposals and make their recommendations. This is a collaborative effort that is aimed at improving the quality of life, safety and economic vitality of the Chester Pike Corridor community.
